미국의 어린이 책 작가이자 일러스트레이터입니다. 시카고 교외에서 그림책과 청소년 소설 작가인 아내 줄리 핼펀과 사랑스러운 딸 로미, 그리고 믿음직한 샴고양이 토빈과 함께 살고 있습니다. 대표 작품으로 《힘내라, 새싹!》과 국내 미출간작 《Hello! Hello!》, 《Justin Case》, 《Bat and Rat》 등이 있습니다. 
 
​Matthew Cordell is the illustrator of many acclaimed books for children including Special Delivery, a Washington Post best picture book of 2015. He is the author and illustrator of Trouble Gum, Another Brother, Wish, and Hello! Hello!, a New York Times Notable picture book. Matthew lives in the suburbs of Chicago with his wife, author Julie Halpern, and their two children.
